In season 2026 the @blackhawks_ihc will be recognising our “Chief” - Charlie Grandy - who sadly passed away late last year.

Across the years of his involvement with the Blackhawks beginning in 1964, his commitment to the club firstly as a player, then as a coach, as a committee man and President, as a Team Manager, as a Life Member, as our first official Patron and lastly and most importantly a friend and supporter, Charlie helped to forge the culture that has the club in the position it is today.

Our players will be carrying the spirit of Charlie on their helmets. (If you don’t know the story behind the finger just ask).

Our major sponsor has also labelled our refreshments with a commemorative label.

Charlie will be certainly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
